Pool is open.  Party #1 is in the books even though the water was a little chilly.

Things to do this weekend:

*Finish massive amounts of thank you notes
*Figure out postage and get a bunch of stamps
*Prepare to send out invitations
*Look at engagement pics 80000 times
*OPEN THE SUNNYDALE POOL

WOOOAH WOAH WOAH. B told the blog before he told the wife-to-be that the invites were here! That sure is exciting.

He also doesn't know that we got a toaster oven (Thank you so much Amy & Steve Skopek, my favorite parents-to-be!) and I have already put it on the counter to see how long it will take him to notice. Ahhh the little things.

I couldn't sleep last night because I have thoughts of my wedding day just running through my head. Will I be at the right place at the right time? Are we taking too long to get our hair done? Is my day starting too late/early? What kinds of cocktails will I drink? Why haven't I been writing down all these awesome party songs as I think of them? There is so much to think about!

In other news, I just got our beautiful flower girl's dress in the mail. Abby told me she was going to be a "butterfly" girl instead of a flower girl. Guess I'll have to try to get some butterflies in my free time.

Yessss to my double shower weekend! Fun after work happy hour/appetizers/wine tomorrow with my amazing co-workers (aka family!) and Horner family & friends shower on Sunday at the GORGEOUS Welker residence, on the lake! I saw a picture of the stoli dolis that are being made for that and all I can say is that I cannot wait to get a taste.

And again, I'm pretty sure this weekend is going to be another "best weekend ever"!

P.S. - We have a double wedding shower weekend coming up, so this one has good potential to keep the streak alive.

Notching more things off the "To Do" list these past few days.  I stumbled upon a perfect aluminum mailbox to use as the card holder on the wedding day.  Now I just need to find the type of paint I like to vintage it up and add a little signature style.  Another positive is that Linda cut our counseling sessions back and we only have to do one more.  We must just be so puppy dogged eyed over each other right now (haha) that she realizes there's not much point.
The work week sucked on all parts for both of us, but happy to be in the weekend now.  The plan is to go out and take care of our Mom's tomorrow for their big day.  Can't argue with drinks and good food.

Who knows what's next.....

Weekend recap.

WOAH we had a crazy weekend. Al came to town this weekend for the opening of Earl's Bar and his birthday party. And it was so fun. And we met his friend Nick who was just a gem. We had so much fun that we decided to continue the party on Sunday. So today has been spent trying to recover (B is currently napping) before we head out to our second pre-maritial counseling sesh. We successfully did our "homework" of creating a problem and making a solution. I must say, B & I get along so well that we had to make up something to be arguing about. Linda (our counselor) says that we look upon each other for better than we both are...which I think is not really a problem at all! We even have fun when we go to Costco together.

One week til B's date night/2 months til the wedding. He has been craving Mongolian BBQ since probably last June (when we went there for his bday) so I know he's counting down the days.

May...the countdown is on

So, this week started busy.  Monday was our first couples counseling session with the church counselor.  I didn't really know what to expect, but it went pretty smooth.  I think Linda told us more about herself than we did to her.  She was able to find out I'm not Jewish...so I guess there was a few questions going back and forth.
Tuesday was a meeting with our videographer.  Homeboy is super laid back, but seems to know his stuff.  The positive here is we're getting the VIP package for a serious deal.  It's going to be like Cops in wedding form all day (for no extra charge).
I think we should try and pack more into this week just to make it interesting...I'm ready for Cinco and a cold cerveza.
